Greenmeeting Information
Dear participants!
The Vienna Congress of Cardiology is committed to meet this year in accordance with the criteria of the Ecolabel for Green Meetings.
In order to achieve this, we are taking a number of visible and sometimes less visible measures that cover all areas of the Vienna Congress of Cardiology:
Travel
Vienna’s transport network provides good connections to the Vienna Hofburg.
We recommend that participants travel by public transport or bicycle in an environmentally friendly way.
For those who have to travel by car, there is the voluntary option of CO2 compensation.
Accommodation
If you are not from Vienna, we offer an overview of environmentally certified hotels within walking distance of the venue on the congress website.
Waste separation
The Vienna Hofburg has a waste management policy and provides suitable systems for waste separation.
Catering
We use regional, seasonal, fair trade and organic products for our catering.
Saving resources
We only print the most necessary documents & only use chlorine-free bleached TCF paper. We also collect the lanyards, reuse them and do not use congress bags. Waste that cannot be avoided is properly disposed of or recycled in accordance with the circular economy.
Exhibition
All exhibitors and sponsors support the Vienna Congress of Cardiology as a Green Meeting and have agreed to take measures to save resources.
